Some Corpus Christi-area school districts have announced they will be closed on Tuesday due to the coming arctic front, while others have said they are monitoring weather conditions for possible closures.
As of Sunday, a winter storm warning has been issued for all of South Texas except the barrier islands for Monday night into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service Corpus Christi. A mix of wintry precipitation will be possible, and roads will likely become slick in spots.
A low of 29 degrees is forecast Monday night with a 90% chance of precipitation, according to the weather service. Less than 0.1 inch of ice accumulation is possible.
A high near 37 and a low around 22, with wind gusts as high as 21 mph, are expected on Tuesday.

West Oso ISD
All West Oso Independent School District campuses and offices will be closed on Tuesday, the district said in a news release.
All athletic activities will also be canceled. The public meeting and regular board meeting scheduled for Tuesday will be rescheduled.
The district said it will continue to monitor weather conditions for possible closures beyond Tuesday.
Agua Dulce ISD
The district will have a 10 a.m. late start on Monday, with buses running at 9:15 a.m., the district said in a Facebook post. Schools will be closed on Tuesday.
The district will update its plan if weather conditions change.
Banquete ISD
All Banquete Independent School District schools will be closed on Tuesday, the district said in a Facebook post.
The district will provide an update on Tuesday regarding potential closures for Wednesday.
Staff development scheduled for Monday will continue.
Bishop CISD
The district is canceling school on Tuesday and Wednesday, it said on its website.
Driscoll ISD
The district will be closed on Tuesday and will have a late start at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a post on its Facebook page.
Robstown ISD
All Robstown Independent School District schools will be closed on Tuesday, the district said in a Sunday news release.
Additionally, all extracurricular activities, including UIL sporting events, practices and games, are canceled until school resumes.
The district said it will provide an update Tuesday regarding potential closures for Wednesday.
Corpus Christi ISD
The district has not announced closures as of Sunday but said it is monitoring weather conditions for possible closures.
Calallen ISD
The district has not announced closures on its social media accounts or its website as of Sunday.
Flour Bluff ISD
The district has not announced closures as of Sunday but said in a Facebook post that it is monitoring weather conditions for possible closures.
Tuloso-Midway ISD
The district has not announced closures as of Sunday. But the district is monitoring weather conditions and expects to announce possible school closures or delayed starts by early afternoon on Monday, according to a letter from Superintendent Steve VanMatre.
London ISD
The district has not announced closures on its social media accounts or its website as of Sunday.
Gregory-Portland ISD
The district has not announced closures as of Sunday but said on its website that it is monitoring weather conditions.
Del Mar College
The college has not announced closures as of Sunday but said in a Facebook post that plans may change as it monitors weather conditions.
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
The university has not announced closures on its social media accounts as of Sunday.
