The Lexus Monogram GX Concept Wines and Dines With Its Own Pizza Oven

We’ve all heard the phrase, “business in the front, party in the back,” a description typically appointed to a certain questionable hairstyle associated with a certain degree of surprise only visible from a different perspective. But in the case of the Monogram GX, a one-of-a-kind 2024 Lexus GX modified into the ultimate tailgating vehicle, the results are impressively tasteful (and tasty).

Designed in celebration of the recent debut of the all-new 2024 Lexus GX, the luxury Japanese automaker reached out to its luxury appliance counterpart in Monogram to outfit the brand’s burly yet refined luxury SUV with features appealing to those who savor the finer things in life – aka attendees of the 2024 Food & Wine Classic in the town of Aspen, Colorado.

Drawing inspiration from the Monogram Designer Collection, Lexus and Monogram collaborated with celebrated interior designer and Monogram’s creative director, Richard T. Anuszkiewicz – the same mind behind some of the more memorable concept kitchen appliance designs showcased at this year’s KBIS trade show.

Alongside his team of Monogram industrial designers, Anuszkiewicz brought the concept to life with meticulous detailing and a degree of panache normally seen across Monogram’s kitchen appliance line. But beyond custom rims and a few exterior embellishments, the Monogram GX concept could be mistaken for a fully loaded stock model.

Only when the SUV’s doors are opened does the wow factor reveal itself. Anuszkiewicz’s signature proclivity for luxurious surface treatments are strewn throughout, including a two-toned camel leather interior, brass and titanium accents, a special Monogram branded steering wheel, and Dekton slate stone details. And that’s even before you get to the backseat accoutrements.

Open the tail gate and you’re presented with the promise of a tasty slice in the form of a full working Monogram 30” Smart Flush Hearth Oven. Occupying the third row of the SUV, the handcrafted pizza oven isn’t the only luxury added by Monogram: a Forge Heated Ice Press, exterior wine and bourbon storage, chilling compartments, a plating station, and its very own wine and spirit bar complete the opulent treatment.

With luxury automotive brands vying for attention, the Lexus x Monogram GX’s culinary approach sets a new benchmark to the road trip snack game. But something tells us the average Lexus GX driver is less apt to traverse rugged landscapes to rough it and more likely to host an impromptu pizza and wine dinner party under the stars from the comforts of their own driveway.
