After Trump Demanded A "Full Throated Apology" From The Governor Of Maine, People Are Calling Him Out On His "Tantrum"

Welcome back to our least favorite show: Donald Trump acting in a manner completely unbefitting of a president! On today’s episode, we’ve got Trump demanding a personal apology in an unhinged rant.

A bit of context: Last month, Janet Mills (the governor of Maine) attended a White House governor’s meeting, where Trump threatened to block federal funding from her state if it refused to follow his executive order banning trans athletes in women’s and girls’ sports. Janet simply replied, “We’ll see you in court.”

A few days later, the Trump administration launched multiple investigations in Maine, and one found that the state’s Department of Education apparently violated Title IX, resulting in a pause in federal funding for the University of Maine System. Last week, the University of Maine System shared an update that the Trump administration has found them compliant with federal and state laws.

Well! Over the weekend, the president continued the saga in a Truth Social post. After bringing up a mysterious apology no one else remembers and bashing trans women, he wrote, “We need a full throated apology from the Governor herself, and a statement that she will never make such an unlawful challenge to the Federal Government again.” Ummmm?!
