Abilene got .7-inch of rain as thunderstorms moved across the Big Country late Sunday and early Monday.
Parts of the region were placed in a Tornado Watch overnight into Monday morning and winds up to 62 mph were clocked in Sweetwater at 3:15 a.m. Monday.
Although the storms have passed, the region was placed in a wind advisory until 3 p.m. Monday as the front was expected to bring southwest winds gusting to 45 mph.
The region should have clear sailing in the week ahead with sunny skies and mild temperatures.

The overnight low may dip to 40 degrees on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
A wetter-than-normal November has put Abilene ahead in the rain game, having received 26.66 inches so far in 2024 compared to the normal rainfall total of 23.55.
